About Us

Chrys Howard

Like all moms, I wear many hats. I am a teacher by training, but am not currently teaching by profession. I am an author and the president of It's a Mom Thing ministries. I work at a Christian Camp in the summer and am privileged to work with a mission effort in the Dominican Republic each year. I also mentor young moms in my home once a month and co-host a weekly radio talk show with Jenny. I have three children and eleven grandchildren who are the most important people in my life. Well, also my husband, my siblings, my mom, my aunts and uncles...you get the picture, family is important to me. I play tennis and sew when I have time and record American Idol so I don't miss a minute of it. As the mom of adult children, I know that being a mom is a lifetime honor and commitment. It takes courage and conviction to remain true to your mission to raise responsible Christian adults. I hope to provide some much needed encouragement for your mission. Some of my books include Motivationals for Moms, Hugs for Grandmas, Hugs for Daughters, Sugar and Spice, and Snips and Snails. I hope you have an awesome day. Hugs, Chrys

I am the mom of four. My oldest son is in college, and my oldest daughter is married and now a member of the American work force. Our house is still rocking with a two teenagers and a busy college student. Before joining the It's a Mom Thing staff, I was blessed to host a christian radio show. I come from a singing family (seven children) and spent eight years singing professionally. Now, my joy is in watching my children grow in this area and training other young singers to use their gift to bring God glory. My days are filled with sporting events as I've got two ballplayers right now and supporting and attending church family activities. I have operated as a single mom for the past nine years and, yes, it's a challenge, but God is faithful! I love being a mom, with all it's craziness, and know that it's the hardest job I'll ever love! Blessings, Jenny

I have a very full house right now, with four busy children that range from five to seventeen years of age. It seems I have to change hats a hundred times a day as I bend down to kiss a hurt spot for my five year old and then look up to address a big kid concern with my seventeen year old. For many years I was a grahic artist for Howard Publishing, but now do that work on a free lance basis and work at the school my children attend. We, including my husband, Jason, live in Bernice, Louisiana. It's a small town, but perfect for us.
